Provide major employers such as Motiva, Shell Chemical, Dow, Entergy-Waterford, Monsanto and Valero access to a labor pool of more than 758,000 workers living in the rail corridor parishes.

Expand access to and increase patronage of cultural assets such as the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center, the Destrehan and Ormond Plantations, Wetland Watchers Park, German Coast Farmers Market, and the Alligator Festival.   

Attract new residents and support more active living choices for the more than 27,200 millennials and baby boomers living in St. Charles Parish (52% of the parish population) – groups with a demonstrated preference for access to transit and walkable mixed-use neighborhoods.
